Brent joined Hogan & Slovacek as an audit manager in December, 1984. After graduating from Oklahoma State University in 1976, he spent two years with Deloitte & Touche and over six years with Fox & Company as an auditor in their Tulsa offices. He has served primarily clients involved in manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, financial, real estate, retail and service-type industries as well as non-profit organizations. He became a shareholder of Hogan & Slovacek in February, 1988.

Brent is a member of various professional organizations including the American Institute of CPAs, the Oklahoma Society of CPAs and the Institute of Management Accountants. He has served on the Ethics Committee of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and as a member of the Board of Directors for both the Tulsa Chapter of OSCPA and the Institute of Management Accountants. He currently serves as board member and treasurer for the Tulsa Boys' Home and Oklahoma Marathon-Tulsa, Inc. He is also Vice-Chairman of the Community Health Foundation and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Oklahoma State Univeristy School of Accounting. He formerly served as Vice-Chairman of the Tulsa City-County Board of Health and Treasurer of Oklahoma Sinfonia, Inc.
