Tom is a life long Oklahoman. He graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma. Prior to joining Hogan & Slovacek, Tom was a tax manager with a local firm in Oklahoma City, controller of a multi-state oil and gas exploration and production company, and a shareholder in a local firm in Enid, Oklahoma. In October of 2000 he joined the firm of Hogan & Slovacek in the Oklahoma City office. He is currently a shareholder in the tax division.
Tom has practiced mainly in the areas of taxation. He has also provided business consulting on acquisitions and sales of businesses. He also consults on estate planning and gifting. Tom provides various services for small businesses such as tax planning, compensation and business plans.
Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. Tom is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Tax Section. He has also served on various committees of the Oklahoma Society of CPAs. He is an appointed member to the American Institute of CPAs Tax Practice Guides and Checklists Task Force. Tom is also active in several civic and charitable organizations.
