Lou Ann is originally from Norman, Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1979. She began her career in public accounting with Arthur Anderson and joined Hogan & Slovacek in 1989. Lou Ann has been a shareholder in the tax division since 1997.

Lou Ann's areas of practice include income and estate tax consulting and compliance, financial planning, litigation support, and business valuation services. Her emphasis has been with closely held businesses and their owners/families. She holds the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst in Business Valuation, as well as Certified Public Accountant.

Lou Ann is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. She has served on the Boards of various committees of the Oklahoma Society of CPAs (OSCPA) and the Tulsa Chapter of the OSPCA; as well as held numerous offices for the Tulsa Chapter, including President. Lou Ann is an Advisory Director to Angel Flight, Inc., a non-profit charitable organization and serves on the Budget & Finance Committee of Camp Fire Boys and Girls where she is a former Board member. Also Lou Ann is a member of the Board of the Tulsa Opera, where she serves on the Finance Committee, the Executive Committee, and as Vice President of the Endowment Committee. Additionally, Lou Ann serves as Deacon of Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church.
