Mike is a native of Kansas, born in Coffeeville and moved to Tulsa to graduate from Will Rogers High School. He graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1976 and joined the Tulsa office of Arthur Andersen & Co. In November, 1982, Mike joined the firm of Hogan & Slovacek. He is currently a shareholder in the tax division.

Mike has specialized as a tax consultant during his business career, with emphasis in closely-held corporations and family groups.

Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mike is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Information Technology Sector. He has also served on the Oklahoma Society of CPAs' Consulting Services Committee.
